Ground Breaking Ceremony
September 20, 2009
On Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 3:30 pm will be a ground breaking for the first new cottage in the Epworth Forest project. This historical event will mark the first new building on the Epworth campus site since 1964.
Although the actual construction phase will not begin until late winter or early spring of 2010 (when it is way too cold to have an outdoor celebration), this occasion will mark a mile stone in the future of the camping ministry for the new Indiana Conference.
This also comes at an exciting moment in camping, as over seven thousand folks participated in the camping ministry of the former North Conference camps from June to August of 2009. These numbers reflect the excitement and promise of the camping ministry project.

FOLLOWING: A RIDE ON THE HISTORICAL DIXIE BOAT ON LAKE WEBSTER.
Illuminate (fall youth rally) @ Epworth Forest CC
The event is in conjunction with the fall youth retreat “Illuminate”. All are welcome and encouraged to come. Afterwards, stay and enjoy the concert (information available at www.impact2818.com <http://www.impact2818.com> )
Wear comfortable shoes for the walk to the groundbreaking site. In addition, please be prepared to stand during the ceremony.

All parking will be clearly marked. However, you may use any of our main parking areas and any others designated by signs for that weekend. Directions to the groundbreaking ceremony will be available on sight. Staff will be clearly identified.
